Foy, 79, a resident in the Allegany County Nursing Home, Cumberland, Md., and formerly of Fort Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1987, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. Born in Grantsville, Md., on April 13, 1907, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Matilda (Durst) Hetrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Foy, on Oct. 16, 1981. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Hill. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Edna M. Resh, Eckhart Mines; Mrs. Marie M. Resh, 23 East Roberts Street, Cumberland, with whom she had resided; and Mrs. Evelyn I. Lancaster, Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Paul Hetrick, Grantsville; two sisters: Mrs. Thelma Resh, Grantsville; and Mrs. Imogene Wiley, Accident, Md.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Gregory Pile. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery. The Republic, February 12, 1987 [F0726]
