France, 53, of Rockwood died June 27, 1996, at the Oakland Veteran Medical Center, Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 28, 1943, in Johnstown, son of the late Frank and Mary (Klopovich) France. Survived by his wife of 23 years, the former Nellie Judy; foster parents Walter and Betty Beal, Schellsburg; and these children: Grace France, Scottdale; Robert France, Jo Ann France, John France, Michael France and Melissa France, all of Rockwood; Raymond France, Fort Worth, Texas; Robert France, Latrobe; Tonya Krisay and Pula Helm, both of Johnstown; and five grandchildren. Brother of Barry Beal and Pam Griffith, both of Rockwood; Carol Moore, Somerset; Ronnie Beal, Schellsburg; Fay Landis, Lewistown; and Debbie Shaulis, Hooversville. Vietnam veteran, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps, 1st Battalion of the 1st Marines. Electrician by occupation. Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Somerset County Chapter 587; American Legion Post 445, Berlin; and St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday. Monsignor Samuel J.
