    Hilda Marion Francis, 89, Somerset, passed on May 29, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born
  June 20, 1917, in Frelighsburg, Quebec, Canada, she is the daughter of the late Adelard
  and Grace (Jacob) Godin. She is also preceded in death by her step- father, John Morrow;
  hus- band, Lt. Col. Oliver J. Francis; sister, Eunice Aither; brother, Wally Godin; sons,
  Gary and Wayne Francis; and great-granddaughter, Karen Shaffer. She is survived by
  daughters Arlene Weimer and husband, William, Somerset; Denise Kiraly and husband,
  Daniel, Cumberland, Md.; and Anna Caron and husband, Marcel, Derby, Vt.; 13 grand-
  children; 18 great-grandchil- dren; sister, Audrey White and her husband, the Rev. Melvin
  White, Morrisville, Vt.; and many nieces and nephews. A military wife, Hilda spent many
  years trav- eling in Europe and across the United States. She and Ollie enjoyed traveling
  in their motor home and eventually retired to Florida. Hilda moved to Somerset in 1996 and
  lived independently with her beloved pets. She was an avid bingo player and will be
  greatly missed by her many bingo friends as well as her extended family. A private family
  memorial service will be held at a later time. Interment will be in Morrisville, Vt. In
  lieu of flowers, memorial contribu- tions may be sent to the Somerset Humane Society,
