  Howard W. Francis, 84, of Canton, Ohio, formerly of Meyersdale, died Sept.
  18, 1988, in Canton.  Born July 19, 1904, in Pennsylvania, a son of the
  late Jacob and Sarah (Deist) Francis.  Preceded in death by his wife,
  Linda.  Survived by two sisters, Mrs. Grace Queen and Mrs. Christena Grohl,
  both of Canton.  Also, a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and
  great-nephews.  Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Price
  Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m.
  Thursday with Pastor James L. Fish Jr., officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery.
