  Jane S. Francis, 71, Somerset, died Dec. 4, 1987, at her residence.  Born
  April 27, 1916, in Petrolia, Butler County, daughter of the late Earl
  Shidemantle and the late Chrissie (Hinman) Shidemantle-Anderson.  Preceded
  by husband, Albert William Francis; daughter, Lintha Ann; and son, Homer
  Douglas.  Survived by daughter, Mrs. Robert J. (Barbara) Vanyo, Somerset;
  and four grandchildren:  Courtney, Fletcher, Drew and Tucker Vanyo.  Former
  owner of the A.W. Francis Company and chief financial officer of Green
  Garden, Inc.  A member of St. Paul's United Presbyterian Church; Trinity
  Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; and the Somerset Welfare League.  Family
  will receive friends noon to 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held Monday at 11
  a.m. at St. Paul's United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Douglas A.
  Rehberg and Dr. William T. Doncaster officiating.  Family suggests memorial
  contributions to the Somerset Welfare League.
