Frantz, 70, of Confluence, died June 19, 1987, at the Forbes Regional Health Center, Monroeville. Born Aug. 15, 1916, in Confluence, son of the late George A. and Adah (Himmel) Frantz. Survived by wife, Marjorie Humbert Frantz; two sons, C. Gregory and Gary A., both of Somerset; five grandchildren; and a sister, Pauline Gelm of McMurray. Graduated from Gettysburg College in 1938. Member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, Somerset Lodge No. 358, F & AM, Pittsburgh Consistory and Syria Shrine. A member of Somerset Planning Commission, the Confluence Lions Club, the Ursina American Legion, a life member of the Confluence Volunteer Fire Department and a member and council member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Confluence. Former member of the Confluence Borough Council and Turkeyfoot Valley Area School Board. Former head cashier of National Bank of Western Pennsylvania, where he worked for 35 years and was a director for 28 years. Treasurer of the Turkeyfoot Area Medical Association and the Confluence Community Center, and a veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m., with Vicar Christine Zander and the Rev.
