Two Prominent Citizens of Confluence Answered Death's Call Past Week

  CONFLUENCE, Dec. 4 - Two prominent citizens of Confluence answered Death's 
call during the past week.  Mrs. Mary Lou Frantz passed away last week and Mrs. 
Samuel T. Downs on Monday of this week.

  Funeral services for Mary Lou Frantz, who died last Friday were held Monday 
afternoon at 2:30 at the Samuel Black Funeral Home.  Rev. J. V. Guss, pastor of 
the Lutheran Church, officiated.  Interment was made in the Addison Cemetery.
  Mary Lou, daughter of William and Odesa Flecher of Howellsville, W.Va., 
married Howard Frantz, son of the late Dr. and Mrs. C. W. Frantz, and moved to 
this community 12 years ago.  Since then two children were born to her - Martha 
Lou, age 9, and William, 8, who survive, with their father.
  Mrs. Frantz was active during the years she spent here, in different circles 
of society and will be greatly missed by her associates.
