Frease, 42, assistant treasurer of the County Trust Company and prominent in volunteer fire company affairs for many years, died last Sunday morning in the Somerset Community Hospital. He suffered a heart attack several months ago and was a hospital patient for weeks. Mr. Frease was able to be about again until last Wednesday when he was again stricken. A son of William W. and Lucy (Pyle) Frease, he was affiliated with the People's Bank of Somerset for several years prior to being named treasurer of the County Trust Company eight years ago. For many years he was active in the affairs of the volunteer fire company in Somerset and in the county, having served as treasurer of the county organization and chaplain of the Somerset unit. He also was a member of the Somerset unit. He also was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the I.O.O.F. lodge and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving are his wife, Mary (Mowry) Frease, and two daughters, Jeannette and Elizabeth. He was a brother of Rudolph Frease, Punxsutawney, formerly of Somerset and Johnstown, and Miss Dorothy Frease, Somerset. He also leaves his step-mother, Mrs. Maude Frease, and a half-brother, George Frease, both of Akron, O. Funeral services were conducted at the Walter Hoffman Funeral Home by Rev. I. Hess Wagner, D.D., and Rev. Galen R. Blough. Interment in the Husband Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, January 27, 1944
