FREELAND Effie Mae Freeland, 87, of Potomac Park, Cumberland, Md., died May 26, 1983 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. Born in Wellersburg Feb. 14, 1896 she was a daughter of the late George F. Paul and Ida F. (Trimble) Paul. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Keyser, W.Va., and Bethlehem Chapter 14, OES, Westernport. She is survived by her husband, Victor Philip Freeland, Allegany County Nursing Home; two sons, Harold V. Freeland, Santa Ana, Cal., and Donald G. Freeland, Rahway, N.J.; two daughters, Mrs. Eloise V. Goetz, Frostburg, Md., and Mrs. Alice Lough, Potomac Park, with whom she was residing; one sister, Mrs. Grace Sturtz, Hyndman; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where services were conducted with the Rev. Marlin H. Lauver and the Rev. Herbert T. Freeland officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Ed Lough, Gale Lough, Robert Lough, Doug Frankenberry, Jerry Frankenberry and James McKenzie. The Republic, June 2, 1983 [F0834]
