Friedhofer, 61, Somerset RD 3 (Felgar Road), died June 4, 1987, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born May 14, 1926, in Stoystown, daughter of the late Webster X. and Gladys (Miller) Mostoller. Also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy; and brothers: John, C. Robert and David. Survived by her husband, Carl M.; two daughters: Jan, wife of John Kohl, Chicago, Ill.; and Miss Ann, New York City; one sister, Mrs. James (Mary Louise) McClemens, Somerset; two brothers: Webster Mostoller, Tallahassee, Fla.; and Roger Mostoller, Kennewick, Wash. Member of Trinity Chapter 138 Order of Eastern Star, Somerset; and the D.A.R. She served on the board of the American Cancer society and yearly made Daffodil Days her special project. A lover of nature, flowers and animals in particular. Long-time supporter of the Humane Society of Somerset County. A 1947 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a former teacher in the Somerset Area School District. Memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park, in charge of the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Somerset County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, or the Somerset Community Hospital Hospice or to the memorial fund of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
