Born Sept. 5, 1900, in Homer City, Indiana County. Daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth (Kelly) Wadding. Preceded in death by husband, Carl Michael Friedhofer Sr., on Sept. 9, 1981; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne (Mostoller) Friedhofer in 1987, and two brothers, Thomas and Edward Wadding. Survived by sons: Carl M. Friedhofer Jr., Somerset, and Ralph W. Friedhofer, married to the former Sally Roy, Somerset. Three grandchildren: Mrs. John (Jan Elizabeth) Kohl, Charlotte, N.C.; Mrs. Thomas (Ann Louise) Stolberg, Boston, Mass; Michael Roy Friedhofer, Somerset. Also two great-grandsons: Reiss Andrew Kohl and Corbett W. Kohl; sister, Mrs. Grace (Wadding) Wadding, South Daytona, Fla., and a number of nieces and a nephew. She was co-founder with her husband of the Somerset Candy Co. in 1932. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Somerset, where she was active in the Parlor Class, Bykota Circle and Trinity Fellowship. She was a former Sunday School teacher. Member of the former Wimoudausis Rebekah Lodge of Somerset. member of Trinity Chapter 138, Order of Eastern Star; the Somerset Garden Club and laurel Arts. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr. officiating.
