FRIEDLINE

Elizabeth L. "Bessie" Friedline, 84, of Jennerstown, died Oct.28, 1979 at 
Windber Hospital.  Born Jan. 19, 1895 in Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Jesse 
E. and Mary (Gribble) Roberts.  Preceded in death by parents, husband, G. 
Edward, who died Dec. 22, 1970; also two brothers and three sisters.  Survived 
by these sons: Kenneth L., married to the former Wilma Gray, Muncie, Ind.; 
Eugene E., married to the former Genevieve Saylor, Indiana, Pa.; and Leslie E., 
married to the former Alice Redd, Mentor, Ohio; nine grandchildren; three great-
grandchildren.  Member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, Ladies Guild and 
Bible School teacher and Laurel Mountain Senior Citizens.  Graduate of 
California State Teachers College and member of the Alumni Association.  Former 
teacher in Uniontown School district.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday 
and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 
Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the 
Rev. Russell E. Hawk officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
