Friedline, 81, of Laurel View Village, Davidsville, formerly of Jenner Crossroads, died Sept. 18, 1997, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born July 8, 1916, in Jenner Township, son of E. Hayes and Ida (Hoffman) Friedline. Preceded in death by parents, infant sister and brother, Huber H. Survived by wife, the former Gwyanetha Hockensmith. Brother of Gillian, Willow Street, Pa.; Margaret, widow of Harry Boyer, Catonsville, Md; and Emily, widow of Earl Gindlesperger, Boswell RD 1. Member of Jennerstown United Methodist Church. Observed 58th Wedding Anniversary April 29, 1997. Retired employee of former Johnstown Works, U.S. Steel and Gilmour Manufacturing, Somerset. Navy veteran of World War II. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. John R. Guerre officiating.
