FRIEDLINE

Evelyn L. Friedline, 71, Boswell RD 2, died Aug. 16, 1982, at Somerset Community 
Hospital.  Born May 26, 1911, in Jenner Township, Somerset County, daughter of 
Richard R. and Elsie (Bowman) Lohr.  Preceded in death by parents; sisters 
Sarah, wife of Dwight S. Shaffer, and Nannie Cora, wife of Kermit L. Rhoads.  
Survived by her husband Hubert H.; and these children: Lowell L., married to 
former Carna Reed, and Lynette, wife of Richard C. Ely, both of Boswell RD 2; 
three grandchildren, Jonathan R., Joel R., and Jillynn Friedline. Sister of: L. 
Hilton, married to former Ruth Emerick, Stoystown RD 1; R. Louis, married to 
former Ethel Thompson, Stoystown RD 3; Bessie, wife of the Rev. G. Franklin Gray 
Jr., Shippensburg RD; David L., married to former Evelyn Swope, Friedens RD 2.  
Member of Zion-Hoffman Lutheran Church where she was active in the L.C.W. and 
taught Sunday School for many years, observed 51st Wedding Anniversary, May 26, 
1982.  Prominent life-long resident of Jenner Township, active in Grange, 4-H 
support groups and International exchange programs.  Friends received from 10 
a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and until noon Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 
Allegheny St., Boswell.
