Friedline, 59, One Sylves Lane, Monroeville, died Nov 13, 1980, at East Suburban Hospital, Monroeville. He was born in Somerset County, May 25, 1921, son of the late Harry and Rebecca (Trexel) Friedline. Survived by his wife, Hope (Rodgers) Friedline; a son, George (Bill) Friedline, Lancaster County; two sisters: Mrs. Thelma Fleagle of Friedens; Mrs. Gladys Johnson, Greensburg; a brother, Wayne T. Friedline of Ligonier. He was a retired farmer of the Somerset area and was employed by the Youngwood Electronics Metals Co., of Murraysville. He served as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne and was a recipient of the Furguerre at Bastone and also three Bronze Stars during World War II. Friends are being received at the Robert J. Kepple Funeral Home, 524 North Main St., Greensburg, Saturday and Sunday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday 10 a.m., the Rev. George A. Clark and the Rev. Gary D. Tryon officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown. Daily American, November 15, 1980 [F0884]
