Friedline, 85, Patriot Manor, Somerset, formerly of Boswell RD 2, died Sept. 14, 1994, at the manor. Born April 3, 1909 in Johnstown, son of Russell L. and Margaret (Airsman) Friedline. Preceded in death by parents; wife the former Helen Lint, 1976; daughters, Margaret A. "Peggy" Bittlebrun and Janice F. Nelson, both in 1988; also sister, Ruth Ankeny, and brother, Dean. Survived by daughter, Janet Lou, Washington D.C., and granddaughters, Joyce Roberts, Judy Miller and Jeanne Stoy. Also nine great-grandchildren and sons-in-law, Ronald Bittlebrun, Jennerstown, and Robert W. Nelson, Springfield, Va. Member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, and Somerset Lodge 358, F. and A.M. Member and leader of the Jenner Township 4-H for many years and member of the former J.B.J. Joint School Board for several terms. Retired Jenner Township farmer. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Edward N. Corneilson officiating.
