Friedline, 63, Somerset RD 2, died Jan. 5, 1987, in Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born April 22, 1923, in Somerset, son of the late Jacob E. and Susan (Yoder) Arkeller. Also preceded in death by his foster parents, Edward and Della Friedline. Survived by his wife, the former Doris Pile; and three children: Sharon, wife of David Pugh, Somerset; John W., married to former Patricia C. Padisak, and Eric, both of State College; three grandchildren: Brandon Ryan Pugh, Justin Tyler Pugh and Lindsay Brianne Pugh. Death ends a marriage union of 36 years. Veteran of World War II, served in Okinawa. Retired heavy equipment operator, member of Local 126 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Friends will be received today (Wednesday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Pastor James R. Ling.
