  CARL FRIEND
  
  Carl (Jake) Friend, 58, of New Winsor, Md., formerly of Meyersdale RD 3,
  died Dec. 25,  1986.
  
  He was born Jan. 23, 1928, the son of the late Harry and Adele Friend, of
  Friendsville, Md.
  
  He is survived by four sons:  Robert E. Friend, of Frostburg, Md.; Larry,
  Jerry and Jim, all of Meyersdale; one daughter, Carla Frost, of Cumberland,
  Md.
  
  Services were conducted Dec. 28, 1986 at Burrier Funeral Home, Winfield,
  Md. with the Rev. L. Ross Kirk officiating.  Interment, Locust Grove
  Cemetery.
