  DELORICE V. FRIEND
  
  Delorice Virginia Friend, 69, of Walnut Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 15,
  1989, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
  
  Born July 4, 1920, in Hazelton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late
  Bruce and Nettie Pearl (Herring) Fike.
  
  She was a cook at the Old Mill Restaurant and a member of the Friendsville
  Senior Citizens.
  
  Surviving are three sons, Roger Friend, Friendsville, Md.; Wayne Friend,
  Titusville, Fla.; and Dale Friend, Dunedin, Fla.; three daughters, Eloise
  Merrbach, Grantsville, Md.; Karolyn Dale, Silver Spring, Md.; and Donna
  Turney, Accident, Md.; two brothers, Blaine Fike, Brandonville, W.Va.; and
  Scott Fike, Anderson, Ind.; five sisters, Grace Friend, Hazelton, W.Va.;
  Jessie Friend and Hazel Evans, both of Brandonville, W.Va.; Mildred
  Feathers, Cuzzart, W.Va.; and Dora Feathers, Baltimore, Md.; 12
  grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
  
  Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, Md.
  
  Services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Blooming Rose United
  Methodist Church by the Rev. Stephen Yelovich.  Interment, Blooming Rose
  Cemetery.
