  DOROTHY M. FRIEND
  
  Dorothy M. "Dotty" Friend, 54, of Meyersdale RD 3, died June 14, 1994 at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
  
  Born on May 19, 1940 in Oakland Md., she was the daughter of Dorothy
  (Johnson) Beckman of Mountain Lake Park and the late John Beckman.
  
  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard E.
  Friend; two daughters, Tammy Varner and husband, John Jr.; Denise Friend,
  all of Meyersdale; one brother, Gale Beckman, Mountain Lake Park; one
  sister, Janet Spessert, Elkins, W.Va., and two grandsons, Zachary and Cody
  Varner.
  
  She was a member of the Greenville Lutheran Church, where she served as a
  Sunday School teacher and was a member of the ladies aide.  She was
  employed as a waitress at the Silver Leaf Restaurant, Frostburg.
  
  Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Salisbury, on June 16. 
  Services were conducted at the Greenville Lutheran Church on June 18, where
  the Rev. David E. Fetter officiated.  Interment, Greenville Cemetery.
