  MARGARET FRIEND
  
  Margaret Elizabeth Friend, 66, of Accident RD 2, died Monday, February 15,
  1993 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
  
  Born Oct. 20, 1926 at Cove, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lewis W.
  and Lydia (Miller) Harman.  She was also preceded in death by her husband,
  John M. Friend on Oct. 19, 1986.
  
  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Missouri Syn., Cove, the
  Ladies Aid and was a volunteer for Lutheran Braille Workers.  She had been
  employed as a waitress for Hilltop Inn, Grantsville.
  
  Survivors include four sisters: Anna Long, Morgantown, W.V., Huldah DeWitt
  and Beulah Thomas, both of Accident, and Bertha Kahl, Randallstown, MD;
  also nieces and nephews.
  
  Friends were received Wednesday at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. 
  Services were conducted Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, the Rev.
  Ernest Linder officiating.  Interment, church cemetery.
