  MARGARET V. FRIEND
  
  Margaret V. Friend, 95, died Sept. 7, 1980 at the home of her daughter,
  Mrs. Margaret L. Beckman, Swanton, Md., with whom she resided.
  
  Born in Accident, Md.; she was a daughter of the late George Ault and
  Rebecca (Durst) Ault.  Her husband, Frederick S. Friend, preceded her in
  death.
  
  She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Accident; a charter
  member of the Lutheran Church Women and a charter member of the American
  Legion Auxiliary, Post 208.
  
  Surviving besides the one daughter are a son, Lloyd L. Friend,
  Friendsville, Md.; two other daughters, Mrs. Oma Lohr, Addison, and Mrs.
  Melrose McClintock, Finleyville; two sisters, Mrs. Schrilla Glotfelty,
  Oakland, Md.; and Mrs. Edna Bond, McHenry, Md.; 26 grandchildren, 45
  great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
  
  Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, Md.
  
  Services were conducted at St. Paul's Lutheran Church by the Rev. William
  Carlson.  Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
  
  The family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of
  contributions to the church building fund.
