RUTH FRIEND

Garrett County, Maryland

  Mrs. Ruth Friend, wife of Stanley Friend, of Friendsville, Md., died in the 
Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, on Thursday, June 11.  She had been a patient 
there since June 2.  She was 23 years of age and was the eldest daughter of Mr. 
and Mrs. Albert Ringer, of Cove, Md.  She was married to Mr. Friend, December 
20, 1930.  She is survived by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Herbert 
Ringer, of East McKeesport, Pa., and Charles, and two sisters, Margaret and Mary 
Catherine, in the parental home.  Funeral services were held in the English 
Lutheran Church, at Cove, on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Harper, her pastor, 
officiated.  Burial took place in the Saint Paul Cemetery in Addison Township, 
Pa.  The pallbearers were Joseph Collier, Harry Margroff, Walter Collier, Scott 
Duckworth, Harry Collier and Ernest Glass.
