  Charles A. Fritz, 73, Boswell RD 2 (Ferrelton), died Jan. 23, 1975, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 27, 1901, in Jenner Township, the
  son of Alvin E. and Carrie M. (Hoffman) Fritz.  Preceded in death by
  parents; sister, Mrs. Enola Walker and Mrs. Eva Weicht; and a brother,
  Jay.  Survived by widow, the former Margaret A. Foreman; these children:
  Charles L. of Penn Hills; Robert E., Johnstown; Mrs. Evelyn M. Rice,
  Hyattsville, Md.; Donald, Rockville, Md.; Ronald of Milton; Richard,
  Adelphi, Md.; and John, Boswell RD 2; 15 grandchildren; two
  great-grandchildren; also a sister, Marion, wife of Norman Critchfield,
  Friedens RD 1.  Retired employe (sic) of the former Pittsburgh
  Consolidation Coal Co., Jenners.  Was a Jenner Township Tax Collector for
  many years.  Lifelong member of Zion-Hoffman Lutheran Church and former
  church council member.  Mr. and Mrs. Fritz celebrated their 50th wedding
  anniversary in February, 1974.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and
  from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main
  St., Boswell, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. William
  H. Snyder.  Interment, Zion-Hoffman Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers,
  contributions may be sent to Zion-Hoffman Lutheran Church.
