FRITZ Acosta Miner Killed by a Fall of Rock Edward W. Fritz, of Acosta, was killed when his head was crushed by a rock fall while at work in the Consolidation Coal Co. mines at Acosta, Nov. 5th. He was aged 39 and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Schrock Fritz, his wife Eva (Tipton) Fritz, five children, Alice, Hazel, Jean, Ralph and Carl, all at home, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Ralph Williams, of Bell; Mrs. Geo. Bittner, of Somerset, John, William, Harry and Benson, of Bell. Funeral services were conducted in the Husband Evangelical Church Friday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. C. M. Lloyd of Jennerstown officiated. Burial in the Weller Cemetery at Husband. Undertaker Charles Hauger of Somerset had charge of the funeral arrangements. Meyersdale Republican, November 13, 1930
