  Eugene L. Fritz, 87, Garrett, died May 29, 2005, at Meyersdale Medical Center.
  Born Sept. 8, 1917, in Summit Township, son of Harry M. and Mary (Hillegass)
  Fritz. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; brother, Alfred and an
  infant sister, Dorothy. Survived by a son, R. Timothy, married to the former
  Judy Bodes, Garrett; grandchildren: Robert, married to the former Jennifer
  Davis, Garrett and Jennifer, married to Anthony Hammond, Great Mills, Md.;
  great-grandchildren: Kaitlin and Brady Fritz and Melinda Hammond; and sisters,
  Doris Dunlap, Chapel Hill, N.C. and Loretta Saylor, Meyersdale. Eugene was a
  retired dairy farmer, also former mayor of the borough of Garrett from
  1986-1992 and republican committeeman for the borough of Garrett. He was a
  graduate of Meyersdale High School. Member of the Garrett United Church of
  Christ and the former Fritz-St. Paul Lutheran Church. Life member of B.P.O.E.
  Lodge 1951-Meyersdale, an avid baseball player, playing with Garrett,
  Meyersdale, Wellersburg and the Pen-Mar league in Maryland and was an avid
  hunter. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday.
  The Rev. Kenneth Davis officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

    Eugene L. Fritz, 87, of Garrett, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at Meyersdale
  Medical Center. 
    Born Sept. 8, 1917, in Summit Township, he was the son of Harry M. and Mary
  (Hillegass) Fritz. 
    He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; brother, Alfred and
  an infant sister, Dorothy. 
    He is survived by a son, R. Timothy, married to the former Judy Bodes,
