HOMER Y. FRITZ

  Homer Y. Fritz, 57, died last Saturday at his home, Meyersdale R.D. 2, after 
an illness of four months.
  He was a son of William H. and Minerva (Hay) Fritz, both deceased, and was 
born in Somerset County, where he was engaged in farming for many years.
  In addition to his wife, he leaves three daughters - Mrs. Catherine Pritts, 
Garrett, and Mary Louise and Evelyn May, both at home.  He was a brother of Mrs. 
Oscar Walker, Mrs. Minnie Walker, Meyersdale R.D.; Mrs. Earl Schrock, Somerset; 
Luther, Cleveland, O., and George and Harry, Garrett, R.D.   
  Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Fritz 
Lutheran Church by Rev. Dr. R. M. Dunkelberger, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, 
Meyersdale, and Rev. F. M. Whetstone, pastor of the Berlin Brethren Church.  
Interment was made in the church cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Son, 
Berlin morticians.
  Mr. Fritz was an outstanding citizen, as was attested by the very large number 
of friends and neighbors who attended the obsequies.
