She was graduated from Peterborough High School in 1926, the University of New Hampshire in 1931, and completed a post graduate course of study in library science at Simmons College in 1932. In Elgin she was active in the Church of the Brethren, the American Association of University Women, the Y.W.C.A., and did volunteer work at the hospital. When her children were grown she became a librarian for the fledgling Elgin Community College. In 1965 the Fritzes moved to Bowie, Md., where Mr. Fritz accepted a position with the Food and Drug Administration. She resumed volunteer work at Prince George's General Hospital; her total exceeded 5,000 hours.
