  Matilda Fritz, 78, of Somerset RD 2, died August 10 in Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Born in Milford Township Oct. 9, 1896, a daughter of Solomen and
  Samantha (Brant) Pyle.  Proceeded in death by two sisters and one brother. 
  Survived by these children: Ernest E. Shaulis, husband of Mary Arnold;
  Harry S. Pyle, husband of Marian Friedline and Merle Fritz of Somerset;
  Elsie, wife of David Powell, Stoystown, RD 2 and Irene, wife of Richard
  Gardner, Winston, Ore.; brother of Milton A. Pyle, Somerset; ten
  grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.  She was a member of the United
  Methodist Church of Husband.  Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Monday
  in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where service will be conducted
  Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. J. Wesley Spahn officiating.  Interment
  Casebeer Cemetery.
