  FRITZ

    Melvin H. Fritz, 81, of Gray, died July 24 at his residence.  Born Dec.
  31, 1908 in Somerset, son of the late John and Sadie Baker Fritz.  Also
  preceded in death by brother Edgar.  Survived by his wife Emma A. Patrick,
  to whom he was married for 60 years.  Survived by his children Verle D. of
  Somerset; Mrs. Robert (Lois) Bush and Mrs. Gene (Nancy) Meyers, both of
  Delmont; Barry M. of Hudson, N.H.; nine grandchildren; and six
  great-grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Sarah Deener of Gray.  Member of the
  St. John's United Methodist Chruch of Edie, where he held various
  offices.  A retired coal miner, member of UMWA Local 1742, he was a former
  employee of North Star School District, The Coleman Co. and Somerset County
  bookmobile operator.  Member of the Jennerstown Sportsman, Jenner Rod and
  Gun Club.  Friends received from 7-9 on Wednesday, and 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday
  in the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.  Services will be conducted Friday at 11
  a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church.  Viewing at the church from 10
  a.m. until time of service, the Rev. Donald E. Krestar officiating. 
  Interment, Beams Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to the Somerset
  In-Touch Hospice, 651 S. Center Ave., Somerset, or the Somerset chapter of
  the American Cancer Society, South Lynn Avenue, Somerset.
