Born Dec. 2, 1911, he was a son of Charles and Anna (Walker) Fritz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty H. Fritz, and son, James M. Fritz. Survivors are a son, David R. Fritz of Germantown, Md., two daughters: Linda Sue Lutes of New Port Richey, Fla.; and Sandra A. Low of Palm Harbor; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Millard moved to Palm Harbor in 1988 from Ft. Meyers, Fla. He was a relay truck driver for Cooper-Jarrett Trucking Company in Somerset and awarded three million accident free miles. He was also owner and operator of C.D. Fritz Company General Store in Garrett. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Dunedin, Fla.; Meyersdale Masonic Lodge #554 for 56 years; Scottish Rite of Harrisburg; Araba Shrine Temple and Oriental Shrine Band of Ft. Meyers, and was awarded 10 years perfect attendance and a member for over 40 years with the Garrett Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 12502 North Pine Drive, Tampa, FL, 22612-9499. A viewing was held at Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor, on Jan. 31, and a service was held Feb. 1 at St. Mark Village Chapel, Palm Harbor. Interment, Curlew Hills Memory Gardens.
