  ROBERT J. FRYE 
  
  Robert J. Frye, 83, of R. 342 W. Chaterine St., Somerset, formerly of New
  Florence, died May 17 in Somerset.  Born Jan. 19, 1898, in New Florence, son
  of the late Robert J. and Lydia R. (Dias) Frye.  Also preceded in death by
  brother, Thomas E.  Survived by sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Bachofer, Birmingham,
  Ala.; and nephew, Dr. Edward Bachofer, also of Birmingham; and niece, Mrs.
  Gloria Dick of Homer City RD. Professional bondsman in Somerset and former
  employee of PennDOT.  Member of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Lodge
  Council Chapter, Consistory Valley of New Castle.  Friends will be received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New
  Florence, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. James N.
  Shaver Jr. officiating.  Interment Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.
