Born May 21, 1905 in Brothersvalley Township, daughter of the late Samuel C. and Mary Elizabeth (Wheeler) Miller. Also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Henry; two sons: Charles Roy, and Richard Merl; grandson, Ronald B.; sisters: Catherine, Margaret, Lucy and Mabel; and brothers: Samuel and Walter. Survived by these children: James and fiancee Betty Velie of Haysville, Kan.; Ray and Mary Butler of Meyersdale; Jack, married to the former Darlene Philip of Meyerdale; Betty, wife of John Landis of Akron, Ohio; Jean, wife of William Austin of Somerset; and Hilda, wife of Paul Campbell of Rittman, Ohio; also 26 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. One sister, Gladys Shaffer of Somerset. Brothers-in-law: Elmer "Bud" Bowman of Meyersdale and John Albright of Boynton, also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Member of the Garrett Methodist Church and was active in the Ladies Aid. Retired in 1971 from Snyder of Berlin. Continued to operate a concession stand at the Somerset County Fair, and the Somerset County Speedway until her death. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday with pastor Ray Gnagey officiating.
