Furman, 71, of Acosta died Feb. 13, 1995, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate. Born May 18, 1923, in Acosta. Son of the late George and Anna (Kaminsky) Furman. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Anna and Kathryn, and brothers, John and Frank. Survived by wife, the former Gladys A. Peterson; daughters: Margie, wife of Dr. Michael Fink, Hanover; Sally, wife of Lt. Col. Michael Ramirez, Ft. Benning, Ga.; two grandchildren, Brian and Jennifer Fink, and one step-granddaughter, April Ramirez. Brother of Mary, the widow of Michael Tulenko, Acosta; Helen, wife of Stanley Bodziak, and Rose, wife of Nick Tulenko, both of Latrobe. Member of St. John's Catholic Church, Acosta. Navy veteran of World War II. Formerly employed at Felmont Oil Co., Bradford. Observed 47th wedding anniversary on July 8, 1994. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Church, the Rev. Father Raymond Karr and Pastor Michael Dunlap officiating. Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. Military graveside rite by Menoher Post 155, VFW Ritual Team.
