Fyock, 58, Boswell RD 1, died Sept. 10, 1985, at home. Born Jan. 6, 1927, in Bedford County. Son of Norman B. and Essie Hershberger Fyock. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, Millie Gilbert; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Mabel Gilbert; children: Brenda Reilly, Blairsville; Marsha Jo, wife of Larry DiLoreto; Mandy, wife of John Deaner, Stoystown; Jeffrey, N. Charleston, W. Va.; six grandchildren, Christopher and Erin Reilly, Rocky and Matt DiLoreto, Jonathan and Jeremy Deaner. The brother of: Norman "Dug," Osterburg; Lynn, Dallas, Texas; Grace Knavel, Seanor. He was a member of the Bens Creek Lutheran Church. Retired general foreman of the car shop of Bethlemen [sic] Steel. He was past master of Somerset Lodge #358 F&AM; member of the Valley of Altoona Consistory; AASR Jaffa Temple AAOMS; First Lt. of mounted patrol; Somerset County Consistory and Shriner Club; Somerset County Sheriffs Posse; Ferndale Sportsman Club; Army veteran of World War II, Asian and Pacific Theater. Death breaks a marriage union of 36 years. Family receiving friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Somerset Lodge will conduct Masonic Services Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at the George Mason Funeral Home, the Rev. Gary Blobaum officiating. Interment, Custer Cemetery. If friends desire, in lieu of flowers they may contribute to Windber Hospice Palliative Care Unit, Windber, PA 15963 or American Cancer Society in Newton's name.
