He is survived by his wife and these children: Mrs. L. M. Snyder of Butler; Paul Gaffney, of Hammond, Ind.; Mrs. B. J. Mauer, of Boswell; Miss Frances Gaffney, chief operator of the Boswell Exchange of the Pennsylvania Telephone Corporation, and Miss Rose Mary Gaffney, both at home. He was a brother of John Gaffney, of Blairsville. He also leaves five grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, with a requiem high mass in St. Simon and Jude's Catholic Church at Blairsville. Meyersdale Republican, April 9, 1931
