He was born May 18, 1944 in Meyersdale, son of the late Robert T. and Marian J. Gallagher. Also preceded in death by his brother, Donald E. Gallagher. Dick is survived by his two children: Marian Yarber and David Gallagher; these grandchildren: Amber, Sean, Chelsea Anderson, Zachary, Haley Yarber, Shayleen, Alexis Gallagher, and Donald Braddock; great grandchildren: Hayden Petty and Taylor Anderson. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Severson and husband Carl; and brother, Robert Gallagher and wife Helen. Dick had a special friend, his Sheltie named Lassie. She stayed by his side thru good times and bad. She has a new home now with Pastor Frank Harpster and his family, where Dick was sure she'd be happy. Dick was active in his church, The Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, he was a member of the American Legion for 40 years, and served as Past Commander in Meyersdale. He ran his own business, Charlies Mowing and Light Hauling. He loved riding his motorcycle and belonged to two motorcycle clubs. The Gold Wings, a friend of Dicks, will ride ahead of Dick on his bike to his final resting place for one final ride. He also belonged to The Christian Motorcyclists Association. Friends and family were received at Rest Haven Funeral Home August 7, 2008. Interment with Military Honors in the Veterans section of Rest Haven Cemetery with Pastor McIntyre officiating. Charles Richard Gallagher, 64, Hagerstown, Md., formerly of Meyersdale, passed away Aug. 5, 2008. at Washington County Hospital with his children and granddaughter by his side. Charles was born in Meyersdale, on May 18, 1944. He is the son of the late Robert T. and Marian J. (Kidner) Gallagher. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald E. Gallagher. Charles is survived by his two children, David Gallagher, Las Vegas; and daughter, Marion Yarber, Starke, Fla..; grandchildren, Amber Anderson, Sean Anderson, Chelsea Anderson, Zachary Yarber, Haley Yarber, Shaylee Gallagher, Alexis Gallagher, Traci Gallagher, Donald Braddock; great-grand- children, Hayden Petty and Taylor Anderson. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Severson, Phoenix; and brother, Robert Gallagher, Meyersdale. Charles was active in his church at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hagerstown. He served in the United States Army. He was the owner and operator of Charles's Mowing & Light Hauling. Charles was active in the American Legion as a past commander for 40 years in Meyersdale and in Hagerstown. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club as well as the Christian Motorcyclists Association. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. A religious service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his daughter: Marion Yarber, P.O. Box 285, Starke, FL 32001.
