DIED ALONE IN THE WOODS, Just on the eve of her graduation from the Indiana State Normal School Miss Ida Rebecca Gallagher was called to her home in Somerset, Monday by the sudden death of her mother, Mrs. Edward K. Gallagher, wife of the cashier of the First National Bank. Mrs. Gallagher dropped dead of heart failure late Monday afternoon in a clump of woods between Jenner and Somerset. Her daughter was to have had part in a campus ceremonial and is heartbroken by the death. With her husband Mrs. Gallagher was traveling by automobile to her home, after visiting relatives at Jenner. At one point in the journey where the road skirts the woods, Mrs. Gallagher expressed her desire to gather some soil for her house ferns. She left the car and entered the woods. When she did not return presently her husband went after her and found her lying dead on the ground. Meyersdale Commercial, July 1, 1915
