She was born June 16, 1917 in Meyersdale, daughter of the late Clarence "Bert"and Julia "Flossie"(Sperry) Kidner. Also preceded in death by her husband Robert T. Gallagher, her son Donald E. Gallagher, and sister Nellie Kidner. She is survived by three children: Robert Leroy Gallagher and his wife Helen, Meyersdale; Marilyn Jean, wife of Carl Severson, Scottsdale, AZ; and Charles Richard Gallagher, Hagerstown, MD. A daughter-in-law Arlene Gallagher, Meyersdale. Also survived by grandchildren: Pamela and husband Norman; Donna Sue and husband Steve; Donald, Robert and wife Lynne; James and wife Martha; Lori and husband Michael; Michelle and husband Rick; Marci and husband Joe; Michael, Marion and David. Great grandchildren: Doug, Chris, Josh, Jonathan, James, Tim, Nick, Adam, Mark, Ashley, Tyler and Hayley. A sister of: Dorothy Timmons, Baltimore, MD; Vietta, Sunnydale, CA; Clarence "Bud", Little Rock, AR; and Lester, Las Vegas, NV. Marian lived with her daughter Marilyn for the past three years in Scottdale. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and was a life member of the Meyersdale Vol. Fire Dept. Auxiliary. A member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church where she participated in the church sewing group. She also loved to play bingo. Marian worked at Wise Music Store and in the house keeping department of Meyersdale Community Hospital prior to her retirement. Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, where service was conducted, with the Rev. Frank E. Harpster III officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Meyersdale. Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home, Inc., Meyersdale.
