  Eugene Thomas "Tom" Gardill, 79, died Nov. 7, 2005, at Wadley Medical Center,
  Texarkana, Texas. Born Aug. 16, 1926, in Pittsburgh. Survived by wife of 47
  years, Rosemary Donovan Gardill; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Gardill, Boston;
  Michele Rose Gardill and husband, Dwight D. Back, Miami, Fla.; and Caroline
  Eugenia and Bruce D. Thompson, Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Blake Ryan
  Thompson and Lyndsey Brooke Thompson; sister, Julianne Gardill; brother and
  sister-in-law, Albert and Arlene Gardill; and niece Jana Gardill Fedele and her
  husband, William Fedele. He received an honorary discharge from the U.S. Navy.
  He graduated from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, Pittsburgh and was a
  registered professional pharmacist, following the Gardill family tradition. His
  more than 40-year pharmacy career started at Physician's Pharmacy in Braddock.
  He also was a pharmacist in Berlin, Fredricksburg, Va. and most recently
  Atlanta, Texas. He was a devoted father and husband. He also had a deep
  appreciation for music, Civil War history and fine food. The Gardill family
  will have a gathering on Friday afternoon from 12 to 2 p.m. at East Funeral
