BARBARA HAUFT GARDNER

  Mrs. Barbara Hauft Gardner, 75, widow of the late John L. Gardner, died Sunday 
night, Nov. 14, at the home of Mrs. Benjamin Harrison, Lock Lynn, Md., where she 
spent the past several weeks.
  Daughter of the late Charles L. and Margaret Hauft, she was born December 31, 
1872, at Cove, Md.
  Surviving are two brothers: John Hauft, Grantsville; William Hauft, Cove, Md.; 
and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Glotfelty, Salisbury, Pa.; Mrs. Cora Friend, 
Acosta, Pa., and Mrs. Louise Oester, Springs.
  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the German Lutheran Church, 
Cove, of which she was a member.  The Rev. J. Franke, pastor, officiated.
  Friends were received at the Winterberg Funeral Home, Grantsville, until the 
services Wednesday.  Interment was made in the church cemetery.
