  GARDNER
  
  George J. Gardner, 87, of Somerset RD 3, died Jan. 13, 1989, in the
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 23, 1901, in Jefferson Township,
  the son of the late William Edward and Annie Agnes (Snyder) Gardner. 
  Preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy E. Firestone, two
  granddaughters, a grandson, one brother and four sisters.  Survived by
  children: Mrs. Dean E. (Helen) Horner; Raymond R., married to the former
  Elmina Roadman; Mrs. Floyd W. (Mary Cathryn) Reese,; all of Somerset RD 3;
  7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Wade, (Annie)
  Bruner, Somerset RD 4; foster brother George Patrick, Jennerstown.  Retired
  coal miner and self-employed carpenter.  Member of Bethany United Methodist
  Church and the Somerset Sweet 60's.  Friends were received Sunday evening
  and will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home.
