   George Gardner, 93, Somerset, died Sept. 28, 2006, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate,
  Somerset. Born Aug. 17, 1913, in Wilkinsburg, the son of Robert and Agnes (Dickens)
  Gardner. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, the former Margaret Fay (Von
  Moose) to whom he was married 59 years; children, George Robert Gardner, married to the
  former Betsy Markle, San Diego; Douglas Alan Gardner and wife Mary Cascio, Somerset; Mrs.
  Thomas J. (Marjorie G.) McKay II, Somerset; grand-children, Alyssa Gardner, Gardiner, Anna
  and Alexander McKay. Also survived by sister, Mrs. Ellen Armsey, Melbourne, Fla. A member
  of Trinity Lutheran Church. He had worked and retired from Somerset Borough and was a
  life member of Somerset Legion Post 181. Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday
  at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday
  at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Linda J. McElroy officiating. Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Windber Health Care Foundation, 600
  Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963. Military graveside rites accorded by the Somerset
  County Honor Guard.
