  GARDNER
  
    Gertrude E. Gardner, 90, of Hollsopple RD 2 and formerly of Sipesville
  died June 2, 1993 at Conemaugh hospital.  Born Feb. 13, 1903, in Jefferson
  Township, Somerset County.  Daughter of Albert and Cora (Hostettler)
  Beck.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Lester, who died in Jan 11,
  1976; three sons, seven sisters and three brothers.  Survived by daughter,
  Ethel M., wife of Frank Stern of Hollsopple RD 2; daughter-in-laws:
  Pauline, widow of Ray of Somerset RD 3; Blanche, widow of Earl of Somerset
  RD 4, and Jane, widow of Ernest of Boswell RD 2.  Also nine grandchildren,
  25 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.  Attended the
  Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle at Jennerstown.  Last living member of the
  Albert Beck family.  Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Friday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville.  Remains will lie
  in state from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the time of service at the
  church, Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes.  Interment, Bakersville Cemetery.
