Gardner, 78, of Jeannette, Pa., died April 28, 1986, in the Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. Born Oct. 27, 1907, in Somerset County, son of the late Ira and Anne (Emmert) Gardner. A member of the United Presbyterian Church in Jeannette and the Church Senior Citizens. Retired employee of Gould Inc. of South Greensburg, Pa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene (Myers) Gardner; also son, Alvin, and daughter, Anna Mae Neiderhiser. Survived by wife, Veronica (Brennen) Gardner, and son, Nevin Gardner, of Norwalk, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Lois Weber of Lebanon, Ohio; and one stepson, Richard Burk of Erie, Pa.; two brothers: Lloyd Gardner of Markleton, Pa., and Glenn of Flagstaff, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends received at the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, where services will be held at 11 a.m., the Rev. John Morrow officiating. Interment, Mt.
