  MRS. SAMUEL GARDNER
  
    Mrs. Katie Gardner, 73, of Lonaconing, Md., died Sept. 8, 1975, at her
  home.
    Born in Sand Patch, she was a daughter of the late John T. and Sarah Jane
  (Swauger) Ravenscroft.  Mrs. Gardner was a member of the United Methodist
  Church, the Senior Citizens and the Lonaconing Republican Club.
    Surviving are her husband, Samuel Gardner; two daughters, Mrs. Marie
  Clark, of Lonaconing, and Mrs. Joan Bittinger, Laurel, Md.; a son, Homer
  Gardner, Lonaconing; also nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral service was conducted Wednesday afternoon in Eichorn Funeral
  Home, Lonaconing, with Rev. Wayne Turner officiating.  Interment in Oak
  Hill Cemetery.
