Gardner, 31, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Rockwood, died Sept. 1, 1984, in the Somerset Community Hospital, as the result of an automobile accident. Born Feb. 19, 1953, in Somerset, son of Walter and Dorothy (Allen) Gardner. Survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Tomo) Gardner, Springfield, Ohio; parents, Rockwood; a brother, Paul, Allentown, Pa. His death terminates a marriage union of six years. Member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Springfield, Ohio, where he served on the church council. He graduated from the Rockwood Area High School, Class of 1971; also a graduate of Thiel College, Class of 1975; and of the Hamma Divinity School, Class of 1977. He was an assistant administrator of the Osterlen Services for Youth Inc., Springfield, Ohio. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home Tuesday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and until 10 a.m. Wednesday, when the remains will be removed to St. Luke's Lutheran Church for services at 11 a.m., with Pastor James Roth and the Rev. Dr. Franklin Brookhart officiating. Interment to follow, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to the Osterlen Services for Youth, Inc., 1918 Mechanicsburg Rd., Springfield, Ohio 45503. Arrangements under the direction of the William J.
