STACHEL Reba C. Stachel Garland, 69, Confluence, died April 22, 1998 at her home. Born Oct. 8, 1928, in Kosoma, Okla., a daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle (Payton) Haynes. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her former husband, Elwood Stachel; a son, Michael; a grandson, Michael; and a brother, W. A. Haynes. Survived by husband, Edgar "Garland" Sr. and these children: Edgar "Dick" Garland Jr., Addison; Wayne Garland, Fort Hill; William Stachel, Randy Stachel and Russell Stachel, all of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; Louise Gyorko and Carla Rugg, of Confluence; a step-daughter, Shirley Pohlman, Fort Atkinson, Wis.; 23 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Opal Whisenhunt, Moyers, Okla. Also nieces and nephews. Member of the Confluence VFD Ladies Auxiliary and the Choctaw Tribe of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Owned and operated Garland's Personal Care Home and will be sadly missed by those she cared for.
