Garlesky, 85, of Hollsopple died Feb. 20, 2002 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born Oct. 6, 1916 in Seanor Conemaugh Township, son of Jacob P. and Anna (Kozielee) Garlesky. Preceeded in death by parents and sisters Mary Miller and Julia Czinko. Survived by wife of 54 years the former Angelica (Nettic_ Maslak. These children: Kathleen R. married to Ronald Matolyak, Bedford and David F. married to the former Cathy Ash, Hollsopple. Also survived by granddaughter Samatha. Brother of Stanley married to Mary, Akron, Ohio; Joseph married to Ruth, Sebring, Fla.; John, Richland; George married to Dawn, Seanor; William married to Joanne, Windber; James married to Dorcas, Hollsopple; Dorothy McGregor, N.J.; Antoinette married to Henry Pero, Maple Ridge; Catherine married to Joseph Ruis, Davidsville; and Josephine married to John Kolonich, Hooversville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Life long member of St. Anne Catholic Church. An Air Force Vetern of World War II where he served in the Medical and Engineering Corps and received the American Theater Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He retired from the former Glidden Metals of Johnstown in 1978. He was a member of the Hollsopple VFW Post 8861, Life member of Hollsopple Sportsman's Club and Jerome Sportsman's Club, the Polish Falcons and Jerome American Legion. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday with a vigil for the deceased Friday afternoon at the George E.
