Funeral services were held at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Avilton, of which she was a member, on Friday morning. Rev. Father David Dressman, the pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Garlitz was the daughter of the late Augustus and Nancy (McKenzie) Durst, and was born at New Germany, June 25, 1883. Since her marriage to Mr. Garlitz about 40 years ago, she had resided on a farm near Avilton. Her husband died 15 years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ada Swauger, Baltimore; Mrs. Pauline Martumas, Minersville, Pa.; one son, Freeman, at home, and ten grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Henry F., Marshall and Delbert Durst, all of Grantsville, and George Durst of Cumberland, and one sister, Mrs. Fannie Wagner of Akron, O. Meyersdale Republican, March 4, 1948
